This expert's course combines high-performance skiing skills and mountaineering savvy to ski long, committing, high-angle descents. At Sugar Bowl, we practice exercises from dynamic parallel, to steep-terrain hop-turns and then finally, "virage saute pedal", the pedal-hop turn. We'll also refine techniques in steep chutes and learn to use avalanche safety gear, pack, harness and rope for climbing and rappeling into a steep chute before skiing it.
