This day of training on Donner Pass adds the necessary skills to prepare for longer, more committing high mountain alpine glacial tours like the European Haute Route, Valdez Alaska, Norway by boat and other great Grand Tours.

Skills include:

Advanced uphill travel technique
Steep terrain kick turns
Glacier ski harness and basic kit
Roped ski lower/rappell
Ski crampons
Ice axe and boot crampons
Short roping on snow covered rock
Glacier skiing group management techniques
