Crevasse Rescue Skills 1 Day

This one-day workshop will take advantage of our settled spring cornice build-ups here at Donner Pass. We will practice the strategies of roped glacier travel and evaluate the two most important raising systems for expedient crevasse rescue for small teams.

This up-tempo seminar is designed for climbers with existing snow climbing skills including ice axe use and cramponing and who possess standard rope handling skills including basic knots, belaying, lowering and rappeling. Intro To Snow Climbing or equivalent experience is a prerequisite.
