Carson Peak, Devil's Slide (10,909') 1 Day
Starting Point:
From a trailhead near June Mountain Ski Area, just past the summer trailhead for the Fern Lake Trail, off the June Lake Loop, Hwy 158 near Hwy 395.
The Tour:
An ascent first through the woods then to an open treed slope leads to the diagoanlly ascent above Devil's Slide. This accesses the large, open bowl to near the summit, then the summit itself. On the descent, we intersect the top of Devil's Slide and the incredible run down this spectacular chute.
