Intro To Snow Climbing 1 Day
First The Ice Axe
You will learn to use your axe for self-belay and arrest, kick steps efficiently, handle the rope in a variety of snow belays, glissade and are introduced to cramponing.
Crampons on the Glacier 2 Day
On these two-day seminars we will hike to a high camp beneath the Dana Glacier.
Crevasse Rescue Skills 1 Day
We will practice the strategies of roped glacier travel and evaluate the two most important raising systems for expedient crevasse rescue for small teams.
Mt. Shasta, Glacial Ice Seminar 4 Day
The complete big mountain glacier skills seminar including a summit ascent via a Northside route.
Winter Frozen Waterfall Ice Climbing 2 Day
These winter ice climbing weekends accommodate both beginning ice climbers with previous rock or snow climbing experience and experienced ice climbers seeking longer, steeper, and more challenging top-roped ascents.
